Our Story
Little Bowerbird Interiors was started in 2008. Owner and principal designer Joc Ridgway graduated with a B.A. in Interior Design in 1995 and has since lead a life of creative pursuit.
Joc owned concept store Green Grass Home & Body, a much loved homewares, furniture and accessories store and espresso bar in Bulimba, Brisbane for 15 years. She became known for her love of colour, textiles and eclectic style.
Our Focus
In 2017 Joc sold Green Grass to focus solely on her interior design work which had been steadily growing since 2008, and also her art practice.
She specialises in residential interiors but has also worked on office and cafe design. Her passion is to help clients create spaces that inspire them to live the life they dream of, with a focus on family, entertaining and interpersonal connections. She has a small team of suppliers, trades and craftsmen that assist in creating beautiful, practical living spaces. Joc's style is eclectic and colourful, modern and contemporary, encouraging her clients to embrace the bold.

"We believe in pale pink walls, oversized paintings, supporting emerging & indigenous artists, statement earrings, wearing triple patterns and that cooking is an act of love for others. Making spaces that foster connection between people is what real interior design should be. We strive to be brave in all areas of our lives and encourage the same in others. We reject the idea of 'perfection' (it's the enemy of creativity) and seek to share our dreams, ideas, passions, goals & vulnerabilities, even in the face of judgement by our peers.
